Total Begins Second Phase of its Worldwide Advertising Campaign, with Large U.S. Presence
Total’s three year international multimedia advertising campaign will begin its next phase in the U.S. this April with an expanded presence in the U.S. market through TV, press, digital strategies and a yearlong presence at Houston’s George Bush Intercontinental airport.
Launched in early October 2014, the “Committed to Better Energy” campaign aims to strengthen awareness of the Total brand, communicating a clear, long-term vision of the company. The campaign highlights Total’s business activities and scope; the diversity of our energy mix, including oil, natural gas and solar energy; and our ambition to make energy better, day after day.
The initial phase launched with an online digital media presence using video spots and static banners that drove users to www.us.total.com. The second phase continues that web strategy, aiming to highlight employee profiles, business activities and projects. The campaign continues its presence on Facebook in the U.S., and has expanded to LinkedIn and Twitter.
Additionally, Total’s 30-second commercial can now be seen on the Captivate Network in the elevators of Total Plaza in downtown Houston. During the industry-wide conferences - CERA Week and OTC - Total will expand its elevator promotions throughout downtown Houston and New York City, showcasing the Total brand to industry leaders, experts, and energy innovators. Beginning April 1, Houston’s George Bush Intercontinental Airport will display Total’s “Committed to Better Energy” posters throughout its international terminal, and a CNBC corporate sponsorship in New York City will give the campaign a TV presence.
This campaign, with the ambitious commitment it expresses, is the first Total has deployed so widely, over such a long period of time and with such broad geographic coverage. It is a collective statement from all Total employees demonstrating our commitment to making energy better.
“Committed to Better Energy” expresses our aim of being the Company whose actions inspire confidence in a responsible energy future. Present in 130 countries around the world, nearly 100,000 women and men work every day to make energy better, safer, cleaner, more efficient, more innovative and accessible to as many people as possible.
